• Dear fellow Ellacombe resident,

With Christmas just a couple of days away, I would like to thank you all for your continued support over the past year. Once again, this has been a hard year for many, and I am honoured that so many of you have taken the time to share your concerns with me.

The Christmas holidays always bring concerns over people who may be lonely, particularly our elderly fellow residents. Ellacombe is a strong community and I am sure that we are all on the lookout to see how we can help, even if it is just taking the time to stop and chat when we pass in the street. It can make all the difference.

Sue and I will be taking some time off over the holidays, but we will be out and about enjoying what our beautiful Bay has to offer. On Christmas Eve we will be at Christ Church Ellacombe for Rev Paul’s midnight service (from 11.30pm).

On Boxing Day we will be supporting 200 Squadron air cadets at their annual Boxing Day Dip at Corbyn Head (11.00am sharp!). Again on Boxing Day, we will be cheering on the brave lads at Torquay United when they play arch rivals Bristol Rovers (3.00pm kick–off). Otherwise, we will be taking trips to all three towns between Christmas and the New Year. If you see us, please stop and say ‘hello’!

Whatever you are doing over the holidays, I wish you and yours a very happy Christmas and a peaceful 2015.

    All best wishes as ever,

Julien Parrott, UKIP
